Mood Rings

Mood Rings is an interactive installation that creates a dynamic sculptural poem with the audience’s emotions. Similar to traditional concrete poetry, this installation incorporates nonlinguistic elements to convey meaning, using the typography to creates a visual image of the topic. The circular structures and animation of Mood Rings are used to convey how all of us are exist in a swirl of emotions—our own as well as others’. Each newly-submitted emotion to Mood Rings will first disrupt and displace older emotions, and then join the cumulative ongoing stream of emotions.
