Stratum

Stratum immerses viewers in a layered narrative within an abstracted domestic setting. When viewed directly, the overlapping red and blue narratives and text that cover all of the surfaces of the space are unintelligible. But when viewed through the red or blue transparent filters of giant movable eyes, the stories can be parsed. This visual effect is employed to examine how irreconcilable narratives can coexist the same space.
